Don’t provoke me: Vijay Babu hits out at Sandra Thomas

Producer Vijay Babu has issued a sharp response to fellow producer Sandra Thomas. The exchange comes after Sandra publicly remarked that legal scrutiny should be based not on Vijay Babu’s personal credentials, but on the association’s official bylaws.
In response, Vijay Babu reasserted that Sandra has no association with Friday Film House and reiterated a previous claim that she stepped down from the company in 2016. He claimed that her current attempts to represent the banner or contest for positions in the producers’ association are invalid.

Vijay Babu further warned Sandra against using the names of public figures to seek attention, saying individuals who have carved out their own space in the industry should be cautious when invoking others for clout. He also accused her of jealousy and said he had been provoked, threatening to release personal chats dating back to 2010 if necessary. In a pointed remark, he added that he prefers animals over humans, as they are "more trustworthy."

In his extended statement, Vijay Babu said that it is the association’s legal framework—not his certificate—that matters, and it is ultimately for the court to decide what holds up under the law. He added that Sandra, having legally exited Friday Film House in 2016 and received her dues, has had no formal connection with the company for nearly a decade. He claimed the court had already acknowledged this, and that he respects the decision.

He also emphasised that Sandra could only contest for association posts representing her own institution—not Friday Film House. He wished her well but warned her against provoking him further, stating he holds all relevant data, including cloud backups and chat records, dating back over a decade.
Referring to the end of their professional partnership, he said he had “adopted someone else in place of Sandra,” adding that the new companion was “more trustworthy.” He signed off sarcastically, saying he had no time to engage in her “dog show” as he was busy with a shoot.

Earlier, Vijay Babu had publicly stated that Sandra is not eligible to represent Friday Film House in the Producers’ Association presidential elections. Sandra responded by asserting that she was the managing partner of the banner until 2016, and that nothing in Vijay Babu’s statement legally disqualifies her from contesting.
She also warned that those who speak publicly should exercise caution, lest they become the subject of public ridicule—an observation that appears to have triggered Vijay Babu’s latest round of posts.
