The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared director Sathyan Anthikad’s upcoming family drama 'Hridayapoorvam' with a clean ‘U’ certificate.
Mohanlal, who plays the lead, shared the news on X with the words, “Crafted with heart. #Hridayapoorvam is ready,” alongside a poster stamped “Censored clean U.”

Music director Justin Prabhakaran had also announced recently that the background score and final mix were complete. Taking to X, he thanked Anthikad, Mohanlal, and his music team for trusting him with the project.

The film has already generated massive buzz, especially after its teaser release. The teaser begins with a humorous exchange between Mohanlal and a non-Malayali fan of Fahadh Faasil. When Mohanlal introduces himself as being from Kerala, the fan warmly replies, “Oh nice!” before explaining his admiration for “Fafa.” He gushes over Fahadh’s performances in 'Aavesham' and 'Kumbalangi Nights', declaring, “Only Fafa!” To this, Mohanlal gently points out that there are also many senior actors in Malayalam cinema, before walking away in exasperation—setting the tone for the film’s lighthearted humour.

Sathyan Anthikad, celebrated for his heartwarming dramas, reunites with Mohanlal after a string of much-loved classics, further raising expectations. The cast also includes Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan.
