Actor Ramu’s daughter, Amritha, tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony held in Thrissur. The event was graced by several prominent celebrities, including Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep, Kavya Madhavan and Indrajith, who attended along with their families. Prithviraj, Biju Menon, Shaji Kailas, and Annie were also present to bless the newlyweds.

Over the years, he has portrayed a wide range of memorable characters—as a hero, supporting actor, and even villain—in numerous blockbuster films. With a career spanning over 100 movies, Ramu has also contributed as a screenwriter, penning the script for the film 'Kalikoottukar.'
Some of his most notable works include 'Devasuram,' 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha,' 'Inspector Balram,' 'Chathikkatha Chanthu,' 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint,' and 'Ayalum Njanum Thammil.' He was last seen in the historical drama 'Pathonpatham Noottandu.'
Ramu married Reshmi in 1995. The couple has two children—Amritha and Devadas. Their son Devadas made his acting debut in the 2007 fantasy film 'Athishayan.'
