Telugu actor Teja Sajja-starrer ‘Mirai’ hit theatres, which hit theatres, on Friday is garnering good collections at the box office on the opening day. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had recently cleared director Karthik Gattamaneni's pan-Indian film, for release with an U/A certificate.
According to Sacnilk, the film has earned around Rs 2.24 cr India net on its first day for all languages, including Malayalam. The film is available in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu in limited theatres across Kerala. Bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, 'Mirai', features Manoj Manchu as the antagonist. Early reviews suggest that Manoj Manchu is the show-stealer of the film, which also features Manoj Kumar Manchu, Ritika Nayak, Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, among others.
Director Karthik Gattamaneni is not only Mirai's director but also its cinematographer. The film’s screenplay has been crafted by Karthik, with Manibabu Karanam contributing both to writing and the dialogues. Nagendra Tangala has handled the art department, while Sujith Kumar Kolli is the film's executive producer.
Produced by People Media Factory, the creative force behind blockbusters like ‘Karthikeya 2’ and ‘Jaat,’ ‘Mirai’ will be a bold step forward in the studio's pan-India journey. Pointing out that the teaser showcased stunning visuals and cinematic scale, sources said the movie will have a record number of VFX shots. The film hit theatres in eight languages and is available in both 2D and 3D formats.
