Veteran actor Kamal Haasan, fresh off his appearance in ‘Thug Life,’ has officially joined his 237th film, which has already gone on floors. The film marks the directorial debut of renowned action choreographer Anbarivu and features a screenplay by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker and screenwriter Syam Pushkaran.

Anbarivu, known for designing high-octane action sequences in blockbusters like ‘Coolie,’ ‘KGF,’ ‘Leo,’ ‘Vikram,’ ‘Kaithi,’ ‘Kabali,’ ‘Salaar,’ and ‘RDX,’ is stepping behind the camera for the first time with this ambitious project starring the legendary ‘Ulaganayagan.’

Meanwhile, Syam Pushkaran, who began his career co-writing ‘Salt N' Pepper’ alongside Dileesh Nair, has become one of Malayalam cinema’s most celebrated screenwriters. He won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay in 2016 for’ Maheshinte Prathikaram,’ and co-founded the production house Working Class Hero with filmmaker Dileesh Pothan.

Pushkaran’s notable writing credits include critically acclaimed films such as ‘Mayaanadhi,’ ‘Kumbalangi Nights,’ ‘Thankam,’ and ‘Rifle Club.’ Interestingly, this upcoming Kamal Haasan-starrer will mark Syam Pushkaran’s first-ever script in Tamil cinema.
