The teaser of director Akhil Sathyan’s much-anticipated horror-comedy ‘Sarvam Maya’, starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role, was released on Saturday to mark the actor’s birthday. Nivin Pauly shared the teaser link on his social media handles, delighting fans with a first look at the upcoming entertainer.
Taking to X, Nivin wrote, “Fun, chaos and pure happiness — Sarvam Maya coming your way soon! Get ready to go Delulu in theatres this Christmas. Sarvam Maya #SarvamMayaMovie #Akhilsathyan #Fireflyfilms.”
The teaser opens with Nivin inspecting every corner of an old traditional house on a stormy night, determined to ensure that no one else is around. He peers under the bed, checks the ceiling, and opens cupboards before reassuring himself with a calm “Okay.” The video also features a lighter moment where Nivin is seen enjoying a cheerful morning with Aju Varghese.
The film, which has created significant buzz among audiences, is slated for a Christmas 2025 release. Nivin had earlier confirmed the same, stating, “The Ghost next door! Sarvam Maya. 2025 Christmas Release.” According to sources, Priety Mukundhan, who gained attention for her striking performance in the recent pan-Indian film ‘Kannappa’, plays the female lead, while Aju Varghese appears in a key role.
Reports suggest that the crew has already completed about 30 days of filming, with major portions shot in Ernakulam and Palakkad, Kerala. Director Akhil Sathyan, son of acclaimed filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, has previously helmed the critically acclaimed ‘Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum’.
The film’s music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran, with art direction by veteran Rajeevan. Sharan Velayudhan Nair, known for his work in ‘Sookshmadarshini’, handles the cinematography. Nivin’s role in this horror-comedy adds to the excitement among fans, who are also eagerly awaiting his turn as an antagonist in the upcoming Tamil film ‘Benz’.
