Kozhikode: During the promotions of her new film ‘Pathirathri’, actor Navya Nair faced inappropriate behaviour from a person at a mall in Kozhikode. The incident occurred on Saturday evening while the team was leaving the venue for a hotel after the promotional event.
A video that emerged online, shared by Indian Cinema Gallery, shows the mall crowded with fans eager to catch a glimpse of the stars. Amid the rush, someone tried to touch Navya Nair, prompting Soubin Shahir to immediately intervene, stop the person, and help Navya move forward safely.
Taken aback by the unexpected incident, Navya Nair responded with a firm, intense look but maintained her composure. Actress Ann Augustine was also present with the team for the event. ‘Pathirathri’, directed by Rathina, stars Navya Nair and Soubin Shahir in the lead roles. This is Rathina’s second film after ‘Puzhu’, which featured Mammootty in the lead.
‘Pathirathri’ also features Sunny Wayne and Ann Augustine in pivotal roles. The film, produced under the Bensi Productions banner by Dr K V Abdul Nasser and Aashiya Nasser, is set to release in theatres on October 17.
