Filmmaker Pradeep Nair, acclaimed for his award-winning film 'Oridam,' is back with his latest project 'Cherukkanum Pennum,' a romantic thriller, which hit theaters on October 31. The film stars 'Rathinirvedam' actor Sreejith Vijay in the lead role, alongside Riya Saira and Dileesh Pothan, who play prominent characters in the movie.
The film was first announced in 2012, and Pradeep had to navigate numerous hurdles before its release. However, he expressed his relief now that the film has finally reached audiences. The film is produced by former Kerala Film Chamber general secretary Saji Nanthyattu.
Speaking to Onmanorama, Pradeep claimed that the film’s central theme remains highly relevant today, exploring the emotional challenges faced by modern couples. "The movie delves into the complexities of relationships, particularly among IT professionals, while blending romance with elements of suspense. In today's cinema landscape, there are very few romantic thrillers being made," he said.
The film also boasts a captivating soundtrack, featuring five songs composed by Arun Siddharth and Ratheesh Vaiga, with lyrics by Rafeeq Muhammed and Shivaprasad. The cinematography is handled by Manoj Mundayattu, and the screenplay is a collaboration between Nair and Rajesh Varma.
