Actor and other-language artist trainer Anjaly Sathyanath has shared her joy over working with Meghalaya-based actor Biana Momin, who played the much-loved character Malthi Chettathi in the film ‘Eko’. Anjaly said she is deeply proud of Bianna’s performance and added that the film marks a meaningful new beginning in her own journey.
Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and written by Bahul Ramesh, ‘Eko’ continues to receive strong responses in theatres across Kerala. In the film, Bianna appears as a woman from Malaysia who comes to Kerala after marriage. Anjaly noted on social media that ‘Eko’ was her first project as a trainer working with an artiste from a non-Malayalam language background.
“Feeling truly blessed to have been part of the film ‘Eko’, a project so warmly accepted and appreciated by the audience,” Anjaly wrote. “This was my first film as an other-language artist trainer, and the entire journey has been nothing short of magical. I am so proud of my amazing lady, Biana W Momin, who beautifully portrayed Malthi Chettathi.”
She also thanked the team members who placed their trust in her. “My heartfelt gratitude to my mentor Shafique (Shafi Chemmad), Dinjith ettan (Dinjith Ayyathan), Bahul ettan (Bahul Ramesh), and Jayaram ettan. The confidence you placed in me means everything.”
Anjaly extended special thanks to Jobin John Varghese and Dwarakesh, acknowledging their crucial support. “Without the two of you, I wouldn’t have been able to complete this task. These unforgettable 45 days will remain one of the most cherished memories of my life. Thank you, with love. Looking forward to new beginnings.”
Anjaly Sathyanath, who has acted in films like ‘Sufiyum Sujatayum’ and ‘Oru Thekkan Thallu Case’, is also a teacher. Her role as Chandrika in ‘Oru Thekkan Thallu Case’ was widely noticed. With ‘Eko’, she says a new range of opportunities has opened up for her in both performance and training.
