Kareena Kapoor, Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer 'Daayra' wraps up shooting

The shoot of director Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Daayra’ featuring Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj in the lead, has wrapped up. The production banner Junglee Pictures posted a picture of Kareena, Prithviraj and Meghna smiling for the camera as they posed for a picture.

“That’s a wrap on Daayra. The story we’ve lived on set will soon come alive for audiences everywhere. Grateful for this journey and can’t wait for you to witness it on screen in cinemas in 2026,” wrote Prithviraj on Instagram.

This is Meghna’s third collaboration with Junglee Pictures after the critically-acclaimed films ‘Talvar’ and ‘Raazi. ‘Daayra’ is an investigative crime thriller that explores how a diabolical act can trigger equal and opposite reactions, fracturing opinions across society. Prithviraj steps into the shoes of a police inspector, while Kareena plays a fierce, enigmatic character.

Earlier this month, Kareena posted a photo on social media, sharing how Meghna Gulzar has been taking her from Khalapur to Bhiwandi to Virar, and she seemed quite thrilled about the journey. "It’s been a very hectic shoot for the team, moving from one location to another, but the energy on set has been incredible. It takes long hours to travel to far flung places of Mumbai, but Kareena is enjoying every ride as she is getting to see the real Mumbai," a source, quoted by IANS, said.

Kareena had also wanted to work with Meghna Gulzar and shared she was excited to collaborate with Prithviraj Sukumaran for her next.
