Lissy and Priyadarshan attend Sibi Malayil’s son’s wedding together

Photos and videos of Lissy and Priyadarshan arriving together at the wedding of filmmaker Sibi Malayil’s son, Joe Malayil, have been widely shared on social media. The former couple attended the ceremony together, and visuals from the venue showed Sibi Malayil bringing them on stage and acknowledging their presence.

After posing for photographs with the newlyweds, Lissy was seen leaving the stage holding Priyadarshan’s hand. The two had arrived at the venue in the same vehicle. Their appearance together marked a rare public outing in recent years and drew attention largely because of the significance of the occasion. They were last seen together in 2023 at the wedding of their son Siddharth, which was held as a private ceremony at a Chennai apartment with only close family members in attendance.

Priyadarshan and Lissy, once among Malayalam cinema’s most popular couples, were married in 1990 and have two children, Siddharth and Kalyani. Lissy was a frequent collaborator in several of Priyadarshan’s films, and their professional association eventually led to a personal relationship. In 2015, the couple announced their decision to separate after 24 years of marriage, a development that came as a surprise to many within the industry. While the reasons for the separation were not made public, both spoke at the time about the difficulty of the decision. Despite efforts by friends to mediate, the couple proceeded with the separation, and their divorce was finalised in 2016 through a joint petition.

Since then, Priyadarshan and Lissy have maintained a cordial relationship and have often come together for important family occasions involving their children. At the time of their separation, they had stated that they would continue to jointly prioritise their children’s well-being and remain present for significant moments in their lives. Their appearance together at the wedding was viewed in that context.
