The shooting of ‘Prem Patta,’ directed by Ameer Pallikkal, has commenced in Kozhikode. Touted as a campus love story, the film is scripted by Lijeesh Kumar. Actor Mamta Mohandas attended the special rituals held ahead of the shoot.
Following his previous films ‘Ayesha’ and ‘ED,’ Ameer Pallikkal directs and produces ‘Prem Patta’ under the banner of Studio Outsiders. Jomon Jyothir plays the male lead, while the female lead is portrayed by a newcomer from Kolkata.
The film features a promising ensemble cast including Junais VP, Saafboi, Hanan Sha, Ashwin Vijayan, Tiss Thomas, and Innocent. The music, composed by Ankit Menon, includes songs penned by Muhsin Parari, Suhail M. Koya, and Muthu.
Akash Varghese Joseph, known for his work in ‘Premalu’ and ‘Super Sharanya,’ serves as the editor. Dance choreography is handled by Prasanna Master, while action sequences are directed by Kalai Kingston.
The technical team includes production designer Anees Nadodi, costume designer Sameera Saneesh, and sound designer Vishnu Sujathan. Makeup is by Sudhi Surendran. Suhail M. serves as the chief associate, with Anand Nandipulam as production controller. Ganesh Gangadharan oversees VFX, and Sree Warrier is the colourist.
Manju Gopinath is the PRO, and still photography is by Rohit K Suresh. The film’s title and posters are designed by Yellow Tooth, with Obscura Entertainments handling digital marketing and Madissom Digital managing publicity.
Scheduled for a 45-day shoot, ‘Prem Patta’ will be primarily filmed in Kozhikode and Thrissur. The film will be distributed in theatres by Central Pictures.
