Meghan Markle, the wife of Britain's Prince Harry, may be returning to acting once she returns to the UK, as per international media. It is also speculated that the former actor and Duchess of Sussex may be seen in a role in the Netflix series ‘The Gentlemen,’ though there has been no confirmation for the same. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duchess was in advanced talks to appear in a third season of the series created by Guy Ritchie.
However, another Hollywood publication, Deadline, said the discussions were ‘hypothetical,’ given that the show has not yet been renewed for a third season. The second season is scheduled to be released next month. Deadline also said no role has been identified for Meghan, who starred in the U.S. cable TV drama ‘Suits’ from 2011 to 2018. Meanwhile, Reuters reached out to Netflix and a representative for Meghan and Harry, but were unable to get any comments from the persons concerned.
As per Reuters, reports follow the surprise news that Harry, who stepped down from official duties in 2020, will return with Meghan and their two children to live in Britain from their current home in California. Starring Theo James, ‘The Gentlemen’ focuses on a man who unexpectedly inherits his family's country estate, only to discover that it is at the centre of a sprawling cannabis empire and Britain's criminal underworld.
