Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's new Malayalm film Sexy Durga has wowed none other than Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
Kashyap, known as a huge supporter of experimental films in regional languages, showered praises on the film after watching it. The film will be screened at the competition segment of the Rotterdam film festival which is scheduled to begin on Januray 24.
"An extraordinary achievement, Minimal, super edgy thriller," Kashyap said in a tweet about the movie. He also shared the trailer of the film calling it "gripping."

An elated Sanal Kumar said Kashyap's good words were an award to his team.
Sexy Durga, featuring Rajshree Deshpande, is the third film by Sanal Kumar. His earlier outings Oralppokkam and Ozhivudivasathe Kali had won several recognitions including the state film awards.
A script-less movie, Sexy Durga is believed to be a realistic erotic thriller which discusses the issue of moral policing. The film is likely to be released soon.
