Kalidas Jayaram, who is familiar to the audiences as a child artist is set to make his Mollywood lead role debut. And the movie titled Poomaram directed by Abrid Shine has started rolling in Ernakulam on Monday.
The movie was officially launched at a function held at Maharajas College, Ernakulam. While Kalidas's father and popular actor Jayaram gave the 'first clap' for the movie, his mother and former actress Parvathy joined the ceremony. His younger sister Malavika was also present at the event.
Several eminent personalities from the film industry, including the veteran film-makers Joshiy, Kamal, Sibi Malayil, etc. were also present at the event. The filming of the first schedule will begin by next week.
Touted to be a campus story, Poomaram will see a group of newcomers in the key roles in the movie. The makers are also conducting the auditions at various colleges of Kerala.
