Nivin Pauly is 'the mean cop' in 'Action Hero Biju' first look

First-look poster of the much-awaited Nivin Pauly-starrer Action Hero Biju was released on the film's official Facebook page on Sunday.

The poster, which shows an artist's impression of Nivin Pauly wearing a tough police officer look, only adds to the expectations of the star's fans and movie buffs over the project, which is Nivin's first outing after Premam, the biggest blockbuster of Malayalam. The fact that Action Hero Biju marks Nivin's second association with director Abrid Shine is the icing on the cake. When they worked together in Shine's debut movie 1983, it met with critical as well as box office success.

The first-look poster artist, who seems to have been in a hurry, has done the ink and brush drawing of Nivin on a sheet from some Top Secret police case file.

Though Nivin's eyes are hidden behind the dark sunglasses and only one half of the face is revealed, the intensity on Nivin's face is intact — all thanks to the artist and his top class model.

A portion of the Nivin Pauly fans, who were expecting something more revealing as a first-look, took to the social media to express their eagerness for more.

Action Hero Biju is the first production by Nivin Pauly under his banner Pauly Jr and offers 'a ride with a police officer'.

Anu Emmanuel, who acted as a child artist in 2011 film Swapna Sanchari, is paired opposite Nivin in AHB. The movie is set to hit theatres in January 2016.
