Anoushka Shankar and co-artists
A frequent nominee, sitarist Anoushka Shankar has been nominated for Best Global Music Album for EP Chapter III: We Return to Light and Best Global Music Performance for the track Daybreak. Alam Khan, who is the son of the late Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, has co-written the song and is also a primary nominee alongside Anoushka Shankar in the same category. 'We Return to Light' Co-writer/producer Sarathy Kowar, who is also a London-based drummer, is a nominee for the awards.

Shankar Mahadevan, renowned for his contributions to Bollywood music, is a member of the legendary fusion group Shakti, along with John McLaughlin, Ganesh Rajagopalan, and V Selvaganesh. Jazz pianist Charu Suri has made history as the first raga-jazz artist to receive a nomination in the Best Contemporary Instrumental Album category for her album Shayan. She is also nominated in the Best Global Music Album category as the producer of Siddhant Bhatia’s Sounds of Kumbha'.
