How did the Education Department fare when the LDF government took over?

What are the projects you intend to implement?
The department has started the procedures to start 45,000 hi-tech classrooms in the high school and higher secondary school sectors.
As many as 229 government schools will be given Rs 3 crore each to improve basic facilities. A project will be implemented to grant special status to heritage schools that have completed 200 years. Sradha scheme will be implemented to understand the students’ social, economic and emotional problems and help students who lag in studies. Rs 3 crore has been earmarked for the project for 2017-18. These are a few of the projects we have planned.
What have you done to ensure faster movement of files?
We have implemented the e-filing system effectively. Officers have been directed to decide on files on time. The department secretary is overseeing it.
