Fabulous design makes this North Paravur house simple and classy

Sreethu and Geethu wanted to honor their parents and express their love for them by gifting them a brand new house. Elder daughter Sreethu is settled in the US while her sister Geethu and her family are in Dubai. Meanwhile, their parents live at their hometown in North Paravur, Kerala. The daughters decided to purchase 5 cents land and build a better abode with modern facilities for their parents. Since the aging parents couldn’t oversee the construction, the daughters decided to entrust the construction to a talented architect. That is how noted architect Shinto came onboard this project.

House in North Paravur gifted by daughters to their parents

Sreethu and Geethu wanted the interiors of the house to be vaster and not feel congested. Moreover, they wanted the interiors to receive lots of natural sun light and fresh air. The duo had visited the site only once after the construction had begun. As the construction progressed, they interacted with the designer through WhattsApp and video calls and shared their ideas as well.

The amazing house dons the classy contemporary and European architectural styles. Though built in a small plot, the elevation is so grand and eye catching. The sloped roof, beautiful claddings on the outer walls and the HPL board on the balcony are fabulous features that make the elevation look regal. Meanwhile, the front yard is paved with natural stones and grass in alternate layers. The gate and the compound wall feature a simple yet elegant design done in grille.

Designed in 1854 sqft, this splendid abode has a sit out, living and dining areas, open kitchen, pooja space, three bedrooms, upper living area and a balcony. The interior spaces are designed in the open style. The entrance door opens to the formal living area. Interestingly, the spaces in the open interiors are amazingly interconnected. The interior walls don lighter shades of hues which give a pleasant ambience. As there are space constraints to have an elaborate garden outside, the interiors are decorated with beautiful indoor plants to add a hint of greenery.

The custom-made furniture is simple and functional. The dining table, meanwhile, is arranged beneath the stairway to save space. From here, one could get to the small courtyard through a glass door. Moreover, the cool eastern breeze flows abundantly into the house if this glass door is opened.

The stairway is built using GI tubes. There are two huge windows here to let in natural sun shine and air. A well placed book shelf is the highlight of the upper living area.

The kitchen is furnished in multi wood with PU paint finish. The counter top, meanwhile, has been paved with nano white. An adjacent work area completes the kitchen area.

The bedrooms are simple and hence they are easy to maintain as well. The bath attached bedrooms have in – built wardrobes. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and two more bedrooms are there on the upper floor.

Sreethu and Geethu are happy that their parents moved into their brand new house after celebrating the house warming ceremony last month. The sisters are eagerly waiting for the holidays to enjoy some precious moments with their families in their dream dwelling.
