Love, unity fuse into architecture of this joint family's home in Thrissur

Brothers Pradeesh and Pradeep’s dream abode ‘Shashwatha’ is in the serene countryside of Vennur in Thrissur, Kerala. This beautiful house stands as a symbol of love and unity between the parents, two sons and their families too. The slanting tiled roof lends a traditional charm to the house.

The spaces have been uniquely designed to fulfil the needs and likes of each member in the ten-member joint family. The 2700 sqft structure has been built in a 15 cents plot with ample greenery.

The designer compound wall that features the classic jali work sets the tone for the general theme of the house. The traditional padipura looks perfect with its clay-tiled roof and wooden doors. Meanwhile, the interiors boast of all the facilities that suit the family’s modern lifestyle.

The front yard is decorated with many varieties of decorative plants including calathea. It leads to the spacious sit-out surrounded by lush greenery. The entrance door is incredibly beautiful with intricate designer patterns. The living room is elegantly furnished while the dining area with double-height ceiling looks spacious. The fish pond and the Buddha figurine could be viewed from the living room as well as the dining. This courtyard area fills the interiors with tranquillity and grace.

There are three bedrooms, including two master bedrooms, kitchen and a courtyard that connects these areas on the ground floor. Meanwhile, one enters the upper level through the study area.

There is only one bedroom on the upper floor. Besides, a spacious sitting area too has been arranged here. The sundial on the ceiling gets reflected on the dining table top on the ground floor. The family, meanwhile, can’t wait to create beautiful memories in their brand-new house.
