Instagram star Sama aka Pathu and her sister Sadha became social media sensations, just by speaking in ‘fancy’ English. Their page ‘Crazy Sisters’ has been garnering millions of views and followers. Pathu, the younger sister, doesn’t struggle speaking in Malayalam even while sharing her thoughts and opinions in fluent English. Watching her videos, most of her followers believed that Pathu lives and studies in a foreign country. However, this little social media star is a Kanjirapally native and is a class two student at St. Antony’s Public School. Her stylish way of saying Pazhamkanji, Chakkapazham and Kozhukkatta has earned her lots of admirers.
Pathu’s unique way of speaking English is what makes her stand out. She says that the school authorities are strict that the students should speak only in English. Besides, Sadha trains her sister in her diction and way of speaking. Pathu proudly says that she often shocks her friends speaking perfectly constructed sentences in English. When teachers ask her questions, Pathu answers in her unique style. Moreover, giving a long speech in Malayalam is not at all a difficult task for this talented young girl.
Her mother Arathy says that Pathu bursts out in English when she is really angry. However, everyone vows that it is Pathu’s natural way of speaking and that she is not putting on a show. Meanwhile, her father Siya is the sisters’ biggest fan. Even though he is in the Gulf, Siya keeps up with his daughters’ social media page. The videos in which Pathu describes food items have made her famous on the virtual world. However, the truth is that Pathu is not a great foodie. In the video, it seems as if she is enjoying the pazhamkanji and chakkapuzhukku. But, Pathu admits she is not the biggest fan of these food items.
Pathu recently starred in the latest promo song of ‘Palthu Janwar’ starring Basil Joseph in the lead role. The makers cast her in the song after they were impressed by Pathu’s performance in the Instagram videos. A few other movie offers too have come her way. Interestingly, her Instagram reels have made Pathu an international star. She has acted in the advertisement video of the renowned international brand Miko Robot. In the ad that features kids from various countries, Pathu represented India. Sadha and Sama are the daughters of Siya Ravuthar who works as an Instrumental Analyst in Saudi Arabia and Arathy Siya.
