Kerala’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections rose 11 per cent year-on-year to ₹3,328 crore in September, up from ₹3,010 crore in the same month last year, indicating continued growth in economic activity in the state.

The state’s total post-settlement GST revenue, which includes State GST (SGST) collections and Kerala’s share of Integrated GST (IGST), stood at ₹3,451 crore last month, registering a 9 per cent increase compared to September 2025.

Kerala’s post-settlement GST revenue also recorded strong growth. Collections between April and September rose 19 per cent year-on-year to ₹16,482 crore.

The increase in Kerala’s collections comes amid a rise in GST revenue across the country. India recorded a 14.7 per cent year-on-year increase in GST collections in September, with the total mop-up reaching ₹2.04 lakh crore, according to the Central GST authorities. The collection was ₹1.77 lakh crore in September 2025.

Of the total collection last month, ₹37,762 crore came as Central GST (CGST), while State GST (SGST) collections stood at ₹45,363 crore. Integrated GST (IGST) collections amounted to ₹1.20 lakh crore.

GST revenue from domestic transactions increased 10.1 per cent to ₹1.37 lakh crore, while collections from imported goods surged 25.9 per cent to ₹65,525 crore.

With the strong collections in September, India's total GST revenue during April-September of the current financial year reached ₹12.46 lakh crore, an 11.6 per cent increase from the ₹11.17 lakh crore collected during the corresponding period last year.

Maharashtra recorded the highest GST collection among states in September, with ₹29,986 crore, a 15 per cent increase from the previous year. Karnataka recorded ₹13,884 crore, up 16 per cent, while Gujarat collected ₹12,222 crore, registering 17 per cent growth. Uttar Pradesh recorded an 18 per cent increase, with collections reaching ₹8,882 crore.
