Petrol and diesel prices were increased by up to 91 paise per litre on Saturday, marking the third hike in less than 10 days. In Delhi, petrol rates rose by 87 paise from ₹98.64 to ₹99.51 per litre, while diesel went up by 91 paise from ₹91.58 to ₹92.49 per litre.

State-owned oil companies began passing on elevated energy costs arising from the West Asia conflict in a calibrated manner on May 15. Since then, prices have been revised three times: an initial hike of ₹3 per litre on May 15, a 90 paise increase on May 19, and the latest revision on Saturday. Overall, petrol and diesel rates have risen by nearly ₹5 per litre in less than 10 days.
