Walayar sisters' death: teenager questioned by cops found dead

Palakkad: A teenager, who was questioned by the police team probing the death of two sisters in Walayar, was found dead on Tuesday.

The police had first questioned the 17-year-old teen about two weeks ago and let him off. He was again called in for questioning this week. He was found hanging from a tree near Attappallam in Walayar.

The two siblings, aged nine and 11, were found dead within a period of 52-days beginning January 12. Postmortem and chemical examination reports had revealed that they had been sexually exploited.

The police had arrested seven people in connection with the case.
