Dileep and Nadhirshah seek legal advice as police mull quizzing the duo again

Dileep, Nadhirshah

Kochi: As the Kerala police intensified their probe into the actress attack case, actor Dileep and director Nadhirshah have reportedly sought legal advice.

Though rumors were rife that a crucial arrest would be made on Monday, the police could not find enough evidence to take action.

Some reports had suggested the police would arrest Dileep's manager, A.S. Sunil Kumar aka Appunni.

But lack of evidence ensured that no arrests were made.

To further connect the missing crucial links, the probe team is likely to quiz Dileep and Nadhirshah again.

The actress attack case, which took place in February, hogged the headlines again after a letter purportedly written by or at the behest of Suni to actor Dileep came out through media reports recently.

The officers then questioned Dileep and Nadhirshah at Aluva police club on June 28.

Women among plotters?

Suni had earlier told the police that the abduction and shooting of the victim's photos were 'assigned to him four years ago.' It was later revealed that four people began actively plotting the crime from November 23. The police have identified two of the plotters and are looking for the other two.

At least six people, including women, are likely to be named accused in the attack case.

Though Suni, lodged in Kakkanad jail, told the police that he had spoken to Dileep, cops do not have any solid evidence to prove it in court. The police too have concluded that Dileep spoke to Suni from Nadhirshah's and Appunni's phones. But as of now they just have one statement to support it.

Dileep had repeatedly denied having any links with Suni even while admitting that he was not in good terms with the actress, who survived the horrific night.

The actress was waylaid, abducted and allegedly molested by the gang in the car, when she was returning from her workplace on February 17.
