Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Women's Commission has censured actor Innocent for his comments about actresses in Malayalam cinema. Chairperson M.C. Josephine said his comments were deplorable. The commission has asked its director to probe the allegation against the actor. She said the panel was initiating action suo motu on the basis of media reports.
Innocent, president, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), made the controversial comments about actresses during a press meet held to offer apologies for the behavior of actors Mukesh and Ganesh at a media interaction after a meeting of AMMA last week.

Dileep told me that he had no role in actress attack case, says Innocent
Reacting to a question on allegations of casting couch, Innocent said no actress has complained about movie personalities misbehaving. “It's a thing of the past. If anyone misbehaves now, actresses will inform the media. At the same time, there may be some who are willing to share a bed,” he commented.
Women in Cinema Collective, the organization of women working in the industry, had come out with a protest against it. Innocent then explained his comments were misinterpreted.
