Palakkad: Senior communist leader Pannyan Raveendran has been hospitalized following cardiac ailment.
Pannyan, a national executive member of the CPI, was admitted to the District Hospital in Palakkad on Saturday after he felt uneasiness.
He was subjected to angioplasty.
Pannyan was in the town to attend the state meet of the All Kerala Bank Employees Association.
He complained of uneasiness when he was in the CPI district committee office. Party leaders, including revenue minister E. Chandrasekharan, were in the office.
Pannyan was scheduled to inaugurate the general body meeting in the evening.
