Kochi: Even as Dileep continued to adopt a non-cooperative stance to the ongoing investigation into the February 17 actress attack case, the police claim to have cornered him with sharp questions.

As per reports flowing in, the police claim to have made Dileep confess to having demanded nude photographs of the actress against whom he allegedly nursed a personal grudge. The police said Dileep was 'misled' by main accused Pulsar Suni who allegedly promised the explicit shots of the actress with whom he claimed to have a 'close relationship.'

Dileep is also known to have walked into a verbal snare set by the police and admitted that he assigned a quotation to get the job done, thinking that the assaulted woman will not approach the police with a complaint.

The police said Dileep demanded that the video must have close-up shots of the actress's neck as he wanted to be sure the picture was not morphed. When Pulsar asked how he would justify the leak of the videos, the duo apparently decided to blame it on an accidental leak while the phone was sent for servicing, the police said.

Reports said the mobile phone used by the goons to videotape their sexual assault on the Malayalam actress might have been flown out of the country. The police are desperately searching for the crucial piece of evidence to nail the accused including Dileep but the actor is believed to have sent it abroad with the help of a friend two weeks ago, sources said.

Dileep was arrested July 10 for plotting the attack on the actress. He wanted the thugs to hand over the clip before he paid them Rs 1.5 crore as promised, the police said. The actor had earlier denied having known Pulsar Suni.

The young woman was abducted and assaulted in a moving car in Kochi on February 17.
