Palakkad: Another Keralite youth's death has been linked to the deadly online game, Blue Whale Challenge. Palakkad youth Ashique, who committed suicide in March, could have been a victim of the deadly game, his mother suspects.
After reports linked a Thiruvananthapuram youth's death to the killer game, a few parents in the state have come forward with the suspicion that their children too could have fallen prey to Blue Whale.
Like in other instances, the youth from Palakkad also visited cemeteries on the sly and even tried to jump off his house terrace and was constantly fiddling with his phone all through the night, his mother told Manorama News.
These bizarre activities and mobile phone photos that showed him with blood-stained hands at Ponnani beach all point fingers to the online game, his mother said.
The youngster, who was good at his studies, was found hanging at his bedroom on March 30, the day he completed his BCom course from Victoria College, Palakkad. The distraught mother was left all alone in their two-room house after her only son's death.
However, the police are to confirm if these suicides are linked to the Blue Whale Challenge.
