Thripunithura robbery: CCTV visuals show suspects

Kochi: In what could be a crucial evidence in the case relating to the robbery at a house at Eroor near Thripunithura , the police have collected CCTV visuals showing the suspects. As much as 50 sovereigns of gold were stolen from the house after gagging its residents on Saturday. In the visuals, 11 men could be seen leaving a theater at Thripunithura after the second show.

The police had earlier collected the CCTV images of seven men with their faces covered roaming around in Eroor at midnight. Even though the police had accessed these images on  December 15 itself, the investigative team has taken it seriously only after the robbery at the house in Eroor.

The images of the suspects were recorded between 2.15 am and 2.30 am in the CCTV cameras installed at a private financial enterprise in Eroor. In the visuals, seven men with their faces masked could be seen walking on the road as a gang.

One of them had a weapon which looks like an iron rod in his hand. The gang had crossed the road in front of the building where the CCTV cameras, in which these visuals were recorded, were installed. They destroyed the CCTV cameras at another private financial enterprise before returning and knocking down this camera.

The police suspects that the men in these visuals belong to North Indian states.
