Kozhikode: Two officers of Kerala Public Works Department (PWD) were suspended Monday for initiating repairs on a road devoid of any significant defects.
Minister for PWD, PA Muhammad Riyas issued the order to suspend Kunnamangalam assistant engineer, G Biju and overseer, PK Dhanya based on a report he had sought.
The other day, locals had protested the repair works in the Ozhukkara section of the Medical College-Karanthur Road, and filed a complaint.
Minister Riyas had inspected the site and sought a report from the executive engineer.
