Thrissur: A notorious criminal known as 'Bunty chor' was arrested in a joint operation by the Thrissur Police and DANSAF squad from Muttichoor, Anthikkad. The accused, Vishnu (24) of Konnadath house, was caught in possession of 17 grams of MDMA, a synthetic drug.
Vishnu, infamously known as 'bunty chor', has several criminal cases charged him, including an attempt to murder. Involved in sourcing and distributing narcotics to local drug gangs and users, he is a key player in the drug network operating in Anthikkad and nearby areas.
The operation was carried out following a tip-off received by Thrissur Rural District Police Chief B Krishnakumar. The raid was led by Irinjalakuda DySP KG Suresh and DCB DySP Ullas Kumar.
Vishnu was apprehended from his residence near Muttichoor Shiva Temple. The police executed a well-planned strategy to prevent the accused from escaping.
Police are currently investigating his drug supply network, including details about his customers and sources. The arrest was carried out by a team led by Anthikkad SHO Subind KS, SI Abhilash, DANSAF Inspector Jayakrishnan and Shine, ASI Suraj V Dev, and senior officers Soni and Shinto.
