An orange alert has been issued for nine districts- Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad while all other districts are under a yellow alert. A high alert is sounded for hilly regions of the state in view of the possibility of mudslide and landslide.
