Enchakkal flyover construction: Night-time traffic diversions until August 17 | Check restrictions here

Thiruvananthapuram City Police have announced temporary traffic diversions in Enchakkal from Monday to Sunday (August 17) to facilitate flyover construction. The work will take place between 11 pm and 5 am each day.

Diversion routes:

• Kovalam to Kazhakkoottam: Motorists are advised to take the Thiruvallam–Ambalathara–Attakulangara–Statue–VJT Hall–Pattoor–Chackai route to reach the bypass road.
• Kazhakkoottam to Kovalam: Vehicles should proceed from Chackai via the service road to Pettah – Pattoor – Asan Square – Palayam – Statue – Attakulangara – Manacaud – Thiruvallam.
• Killippalam Power House Road to Kazhakkoottam via Enchakkal: Motorists can take either the Choorakkattupalayam – Thampanoor – Panavila – Asan Square – Pattoor – Chackai route, or the Sreekanteswaram – Uppidamoodu – Pettah – Chackai route to reach the bypass road.
• Kovalam to Trivandrum International Airport (small vehicles): Turn from Kumarichan Parithikuzhi service road towards Kallumoodu – Valiathura – Shankhumugham Road.
• Attakulangara to Chackai (small vehicles): Use the Vazhapalli – Sreekanteswaram – Uppidamoodu – Nalumukku – Pettah – Chackai route.

Thiruvananthapuram City Police have urged motorists to cooperate with the diversions to ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction period.
