Python found with noose around neck beneath lorry in Kalamassery, rescued

Kalamassery: A python with a noose around its neck was found beneath a lorry parked near the municipal office on the National Highway. The reptile’s head had been tied to a tree branch using a towel, and it also had an injury on its head.

On receiving an alert from municipal councillor Rafeeq Marakkar, trained snake catcher Muhammad Rafeeq reached the spot and rescued the python. Forest department officials later arrived and took custody of the reptile.
