Koyilandi: Dengue has been widely reported in Koyilandi and nearby areas. Four laboratory workers and another employee at the taluk hospital have been diagnosed with the disease.
In addition, five more patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Many people are also seeking treatment for dengue at the hospital’s outpatient wing, as well as other hospitals in the area.
Meanwhile, fogging was carried out on the hospital premises to eliminate mosquitoes. Health workers have urged the public to prevent mosquito breeding in the locality. However, mosquitoes are likely to multiply rapidly as the rains have subsided.
