Cherpu: Senior surgeon CA Pradeep said that the veterinary hospital had provided enough treatment for the injured stray dog that was found lying in front of the building.
The veterinary doctor was responding to the news article that appeared on Manorama about the plight of the dog that was injured in an accident. The dog was found injured and weak around ten days ago.
The ward member then informed the veterinary hospital. The dog was moved to the hospital and given medicines including drip. It was kept in an old kennel in the hospital premise and fed for two days. But, the dog walked out of the hospital when it was better and could walk.
The doctor says that there aren’t proper facilities in the hospital to admit the animals. Although he spoke to many, no one was willing to take the dog.
Ward member Shriti Vigil says that she had contacted many dog lovers’ groups, requesting them to take care of the injured dog, but no one was willing to adopt the stray dog.
Meanwhile, the doctor stated that the hospital would feed the dog and ensure further treatment as the dog has still been roaming around the area, with no one willing to take up its responsibility.
