Cherpulassery: All arrangements have been completed for the 30th annual Navarathri music festival at the Puthanaal Bhagavathi Temple here. The festival will begin at 4 pm on September 22 with a prayer by Kumari Bhavapriya Subrahmanyam.
Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Secretary Karivalloor Murali will inaugurate the event, while lyricist B K Harinarayanan will preside over the function. Cherpulassery Municipal Chairman P Ramachandran, Mannur Rajakumaranunni, Palakkad Fine Arts Society Secretary P N Subbaraman and others will be the chief guests.
The Navarathri venue will come alive with a music concert by Saketharaman at 6.45 pm. Cherthala R Sivakumar (violin), Palakkad A M Harinarayanan (mridangam), and Uduppi Srikanth (ganjira) will provide accompaniment.
The second day of the festival will begin with a rendition of the Kamalamba Navavarana Krithikal at 4.30 pm on September 23. At 6.45 pm, Hridayesh Krishnan will perform the main concert. On September 24, Pradeep Angadipuram will present a concert at 4.30 pm, followed by Kumari Ranjini Radha with the main concert at 6.45 pm.
On September 25, Sarath Sasidharan will perform at 4.30 pm, followed by the main concert by Vishwesh Swaminathan at 6.45 pm. On September 26, Dr Latha Kayiliyod will perform at 4.30 pm, followed by the main concert by Bharadwaj Subramanyam at 6.45 pm. On September 27, Kumari Bhavapriya Subrahmanyam will stage a concert at 4.30 pm, followed by Kumari Swaratmika Chennai at 6.45 pm.
On September 28, the Sangeetha Aaradhana (musical offering) will begin at 8.30 am. At 4.30 pm, Kumari Arya Sandeep will present a violin solo, followed by the main concert by Vignesh Easwar at 6.45 pm. On September 29, Sandeep Namboothiri will perform the primary concert at 4.30 pm, followed by the main concert by K S Vishnu Dev. On September 30, Meera Unnikrishnan will perform at 4.30 pm, followed by the main concert by N J Nandini at 6.45 pm.
On October 1, Mahanavami day, Vechoor Shankar will perform at 4.30 pm, followed by T N S Krishna at 6.45 pm. On Vijayadasami day, October 2, Dr Vellinezhi Subrahmanyan will present a concert at 8.30 am, and the festival will conclude with the rendition of Pancharatna Krithikal.
Those wishing to participate in the musical offering scheduled for the morning of September 28 must complete registration by September 27, informed festival committee president K B Rajendran, chief coordinator G Subramanyan and joint secretary Soorya Suresh.
