Missing Thrissur paramedical student found dead in pond

Thrissur: A 24-year-old woman, reported missing since Sunday, was found dead in a pond at Varavoor, on Monday evening. Greeshma, a paramedical student and native of Pilakkad, Varavoor, had been reported missing by her relatives, who filed a complaint with Cheruthuruthy police.

During the search, police recovered her footwear and bag near the pond, following which Wadakkanchery Fire and Rescue officials retrieved her body around 8 pm. After a post-mortem at the Government Medical College Hospital, Thrissur, the body will be handed over to her family. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
