Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for several districts in Kerala from October 8 to 10, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall across the state. According to the IMD, isolated places in the alerted districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall measuring between 7 cm and 11 cm within 24 hours. The Met department also cautioned that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) are likely to occur at one or two places across Kerala till October 11.

  • Wednesday: Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad
  • Thursday: Idukki, Palakkad and Malappuram
  • Friday: Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Kannur
