Thiruvananthapuram: With the onset of the northeast monsoon, rain has intensified across Kerala, leaving several areas flooded and causing widespread damage. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy rain will continue in the state until Wednesday due to a low-pressure area formed over the Arabian Sea.
An orange alert has been issued for five districts — Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod — on Sunday. All other districts are placed under a yellow alert.
Mudslide hits Idukki
