Kochi: ‘Vayanapettis’ (book boxes) have been arranged at various locations in Kochi city to spread the joy of sharing in the matter of reading. A prelude to the Manorama Hortus Art and Literature festival, which will take place at Subhash Park from November 27 to 30, the Vayanapettis will have books which can be taken by everyone free of cost to read. The programme has been organised in collaboration with Penguin Books.
After reading, the book could be returned to the Vayanapettis for another reader or may be replaced by another good work you liked. You can also write an appreciation of the book on paper and keep it in the book while returning it. The only condition is to take care that the book is not damaged while returning. You can also keep a book in the Vayanapetti while taking one, so that the chain of reading does not break. You can invite your friends and children to take books from Vayanapettis.
