Pilathara: Volunteers of HOPE Charitable Trust came to the aid of 67-year-old Chinta Devi, who had inadvertently travelled to Kerala and accidentally fell from the train. She was taken by police to Pariyaram Medical College for treatment, and later, on police instructions, shifted to HOPE for further assistance. However, on finding that she had severe injuries on her legs she was taken to Pariyaram Medical College again.

HOPE activists contacted the phone number found in her bag, and her two sons, Saurabh Kumar and Aman Kumar, arrived at HOPE to take their mother back to her hometown, with the police permission.

HOPE office bearers KS Jayamohan, Suja Jaqueline, and Binna Stanley provided the necessary assistance throughout the procedures.
