Panoor: The long-dormant clocks at the Panoor bus stand clock tower are ticking again, thanks to a swift intervention by municipal chairperson Naushath Koottathil. The action came after the municipal chairperson personally intervened to speed up the repair process.
The civic body acted following a report in Malayala Manorama that highlighted the clock tower’s malfunctioning, with incorrect time and non-working faces. The old clocks were removed immediately, and yesterday, three new clocks were installed.
All four faces of the tower had been out of order. According to the municipal chairperson, the fourth clock will be installed in the coming days.
