The Kerala government has launched Chief Minister’s Connect to Work, a special scheme that offers monthly financial assistance to youngsters preparing for competitive examinations — including UPSC and PSC — as well as those undergoing skill-training programmes.

To be eligible, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala.

Applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis, and beneficiaries can receive assistance for up to 12 months.

Who can apply?

  • Applicant must be in 18-30 age group.
  • Annual family income must be less than ₹1 lakh
  • Those who are attending skill training at government departments, public sector units, recognised universities, or accredited private institutions
  • Those who are preparing for exams of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC), banking sector, railways, Air Force, Navy and other central or state public recruiting agencies.

Who are ineligible?

  • If you are receiving scholarships from state/central departments or institutions.
  • Those who are attending skill development training courses and preparing for entrance/eligibility tests like JEE, NEET, SET and NET.
  • If you are a contract or permanent employee in the central/state government service, public sector firms, or universities.

Documents needed

  1. Address Proof- voter's ID, school certificate, passport, Aadhaar, driving license
  2. Date of Birth Proof – school certificate, birth certificate
  3. Annual family income certificate issued within the last 6 months
  4. Educational qualification certificate issued by authorised Universities / Schools / Colleges / Institutions
  5. Acknowledgement Slip / Application Slip (for those who are applying for Competitive exam categories)
  6. First page of bank passbook
  7. Authentication Letter from the Head of Institution certifying that the candidate is undergoing skill development course. (Download from site)
  8. Passport-size colour photo
  9. Scanned signature
  10. Self-Declaration Certificate signed by the candidate confirming that he/she is preparing for competitive exams. (Download from site)

Step 2: You will be redirected to the official website of employment exchange. Now click apply now button on the right.

Step 3: Now read about the scheme and click proceed button

Step 4: Download forms of self-declaration certificate and authentication letter from the respective blocks.

Step 5: Tick the box to confirm that you possess all required documents.Now click proceed to application

Step 6: If you are already registered with the employment exchange, log in with your registration number. Those who did not register, must proceed as new applicant. Choose accordingly and fill the details.
