Wayanad: The rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslides are progressing, with the roof concreting work completed at 237 houses in the Elston Estate project.

The construction activities are progressing across five zones. The contractors have already completed foundation preparation for 332 houses, earthwork for 331 houses, and plain cement concrete (PCC) for 310 houses. Additionally, the foundation construction for 306 houses, stumps for 306 houses, plinths for 297 houses, and shear wall works in 295 houses have also been completed.

The roads leading up to the township are under construction and progressing rapidly. So far, 490 metres of the main road and 906 metres of the secondary road have been constructed out of the total length of 11.4km.
