Students of Rajkeeya Girls Senior Secondary school, Faridabad, often complained of bad smell emanating from the food served to them as midday meal in school. But they were in for a shock to find a snake in it.
As soon as the snake was spotted, the students were immediately stopped from taking the food. However, some students and faculty members had already consumed it by then. According to a report, two teachers and six students were rushed to hospital, but discharged later.
The organization responsible for supplying the food, Iskcon Food Relief Foundation, was also apprised of the situation. Other schools where the same organization supplies food have also been informed.
The authorities have launched a probe.
