Thiruvananthapuram: The accountant general's (AG's) office has dismissed Kerala Blasters' striker C.K. Vineeth from service, citing shortage of attendance.
The professional footballer was appointed as an auditor in the office four-and-half years ago through sports quota.
In the order, the AG's office said that Vineeth was dismissed with effect from May 7.
CK Vineeth may lose his job at AG's office. Why? Because he's busy playing football
Vineeth, who hails from Kannur, however, said that he cannot stop playing football for a desk job.
The authorities said that they had asked Vineeth to attend office many times, but the footballer did not officially give a reply or directly contacted the office.
