Jakarta: South Korea thrashed India 45-18 in a Group A match of the Asian Games women’s handball competition here on Thursday.
India, who had lost to Kazakhstan 19-36 in their opening match, were no match for the Koreans.
Korea led 21-9 at the half-time and continued their dominance in the second period of play.
Sojeong Yu notched up 12 goals for the Koreans who scored their second win on the trot. Ritu top-scored for India with six goals.
India next play China on Sunday and take on North Korea in their final group match on August 21.
The Indian men's handball team too is staring at exit in the preliminary stage having lost both games so far.
