Jakarta: Ankita Raina stormed into the women's singles semifinals, while it was curtains for Ramkumar Ramanathan in the men's singles of the Asian Games tennis competition at Palembang on Wednesday.
Ankita had it easy against Eudice Chong of Hong Kong in the quarterfinals. The 6-4, 6-1 victory means she will take home at least a bronze.
Karimov Jurabek of Uzbekistan, ranked 428 in the world, stunned higher-ranked Ramkumar (134) 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the pre-quarterfinals.
